Good evening, friends and readers of Rural Reflections - the Reboot.
This is a brief post to let you know Ruth and I are taking a short hiatus. I’d recently planned a pause the last two weekends of December to make space and time for family and holiday festivities. I’d also planned to use that time reimagine how I deliver each week’s reflections.
Then life said, “haha, Laura, the universe demands you take three weeks instead of two.”
48 hours ago, I would not have agreed for all the money in the world. Life, however, can turn in far less time than it is taking me to write this message, and now I have no choice but to agree. Three weeks it is, during which I will attend to the people and situations requiring my care and return with a renewed heart and revamped Substack the first week of 2024.
Sending love and light to all, regardless of what holidays you celebrate. And if you don’t celebrate any, you get love and light anyway. Sometimes celebration can feel out of reach. Believe me, I get it—everybody moves through this season in their own way.
Glad you are taking the time off, it is important. Best wishes for the festive season and 2024.
